Road Trip through American Icons
Buckle up, we're going on an adventure. Get ready for six pit stops featuring six one of a kind cocktails inspired by American icons.
First Stop: Jorts
Ingredients:
2 oz Bluecoat Original American Dry Gin
1 oz lemon juice
0.5 oz Blue Curaçao
0.25 oz Crème de Violette
0.25 oz simple syrup
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker followed by ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a Collins glass. Top with club soda. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Second Stop: Corn
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Bluecoat Original American Dry Gin
2 oz Corn Coconut Syrup*
Barspoon lemon juice
Instructions:
Add all ingredients into a blender with ice. Blend and salt the rim of an Irish Coffee Mug. Serve in the rimmed glass. Garnish with corn.
*Blend 2 cans of creamed corn with 1 can of Coco Lopez, 1 can of coconut milk, 5g of salt, and 100g of sugar. Then fine strain the mixture and store in a tight-sealed container
Third Stop: Diner
Ingredients:
2 oz Bluecoat Original American Dry Gin
0.75 oz maple syrup
0.75 oz lemon juice
2 dashes Jack’s Black Cardamom Bitters
Egg white
Club soda
Instructions:
Add all ingredients except the club soda to a cocktail shaker and dry shake. Add ice and shake again. Serve into a milkshake glass. Top with club soda. Garnish with a cherry.
Fourth Stop: S'mores
Ingredients:
2 oz graham cracker-infused Bluecoat Original American Dry Gin*
1 oz marshmallow syrup*
0.75 oz cocoa-infused Vigo Amaro*
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Serve in a coupe and garnish with a toasted marshmallow on graham cracker.
*Graham cracker-infused Bluecoat: Add 50g of cinnamon sticks and 20g of brown sugar to 1 bottle of Bluecoat 750ml in a quart container. Store in a dark dry cabinet for 72 hours, shaking occasionally. Fine strain infused gin.
*Marshmallow Syrup: Add 250g water and 100g marshmallows to a saucepot and stir over medium heat until marshmallows fully dissolve. Strain and chill.
*Cocoa-infused Vigoo Amaro: Add 80g of cocoa nibs to 1 bottle of Vigo Amaro in a quart container. Store in a dark dry cabinet for 72 hours, shaking occasionally. Fine strain infused amaro.
Fifth Stop: Rocket Pop
Ingredients:
2 oz Bluecoat American Dry Gin
1 oz lemon
0.75 oz simple syrup
Club soda
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a shaker glass with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a coupe glass. Top with club soda and garnish with a whole Rocket Pop.
Sixth Stop: Baseball
Ingredients:
2 oz Bluecoat Barrel-Finished Gin
0.5 oz demerara syrup
4 dashes Jack’s Aromatic Bitters
2 dashes Jack’s Citrus Bitters
Instructions:
Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Burn a small piece of ash wood under an Old Fashioned Glass. Strain your drink into the smoked glass and garnish with an orange peel.
